There’s quite a few factors in pricing a system but you do need to know what sort of cost is involved in central heating. From your heat loss calculations and system selections we’ve got a pretty good idea of the initial and on-going running costs you’re looking at for a central heating system. Carbon Dioxide, Global Warming or Climate Change, what about it?

While the available information is still contradictory and confusing there is however, some clear guidance from the scientific community about what you can do to help reduce greenhouse gases. Just lower your CO2 contribution by 10-15%. How? Easy;

  • Drive a vehicle that goes further per litre,
  • Walk where practical,
  • Heat with electricity or, better still, use a wood based fuel.

Global warming, climate change or more drastic weather; call it what you want. Look at it this way:

Where do you want to be in this matrix?

 The IPCC is wrong and this is just a cycle. It's real and it's happening.
Doing something to help:
For example, using less fossil fuel (travel & heating).		 You’ll save money and be fitter. Save money, be fitter and feel virtuous?
Do nothing? Situation normal? Start planning based on the sea level rising quite a bit!

So of the four choices you have all but one is neutral or beneficial to you and the environment.

What does the IEA say?

The International Energy Agency (IEA) is a group from 28 member countries that look at global energy supply and demand. They have a clear message: The days of cheap oil are over and they are saying that oil is cheap now!
